Founded in 1939, Italvacuum since the beginning of its history has designed and manufactured vacuum pumps and vacuum dryers for chemical, fine chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
Italvacuum recently launched its range of industrial vacuum pumps Saurus939, which are charaterized by the simple design and the use of innovative technical solutions.
 Among the major innovations must be cited the new LubriZero® system, which consists of materials in Teflon with special charges that, beyond being resistant to corrosion, do not require any lubrication. This almost set to zero the consumption of the one through oil in Italvacuum vacuum units, making them work like dry pumps.
Moreover the metered injection of fresh oil in minimal quantity guarantees an effective barrier to the aggression of solvents, even to the most aggressive ones, whose vapours can be intaken by Saurus939 vacuum pump without problems and without the need of using very expensive materials like Hastelloy or special coatings like Halar C22, as on the contrary it happens with dry pumps.
Vacuum pumps Saurus939, like dry pumps, are particularly suitable for the processes of drying, distillation, reaction and crystallization. But they excel ensuring:

The peculiar strenght of Italvacuum pumps is the total safety for the process. A recent analysis of the Turin Polytechnic (Department of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering) has in fact certified the purity of the product dried with the use of vacuum pump Saurus939: it permits to work in conditions of uncontaminated vacuum without any risk of oil contamination for the process, like dry pumps do.
Contrary to what manufacturers of dry pumps affirm, the slightest presence of oil can not absolutely and in no way contaminate the product. But it improves performances and increases the life of the pump, minimizing maintenance costs, even in the presence of very aggressive vapours such as hydrochloric acid.

MODELS
The range of vacuum pumps Saurus939 include single stage and double stage models. Double stage models are also available:
- with one or two compressor roots in order to reach lower final pressures (high vacuum levels), as it happens also for dry pumps
- in skid version equipped with all the pump fittings.
ATEX CERTIFICATION
 In standard version Saurus939 pump for uncontaminated vacuum is marked as CE Ex II 2 G T4 and is suitable in all areas classified as Zone 1 – Gas and temperature class T4 (135°C).
In special version Saurus939 vacuum pump for uncontaminated vacuum is suitable for Zone “0” INTERNAL - GAS, ZONE “1” EXTERNAL - GAS with three different classes of temperature T4 (135°C)/ T150°C / T3 (200°C), depending on operation conditions.
